As the first home for a young family, Upper West Side embodies the comfort and discerning homeliness that defines this stage of life. A decorative language was established to reflect the client’s emerging personal style, which sets itself apart from memories of their childhood home to be a singular expression of the people they have become. Through furniture, artwork, lighting and soft furnishing, the apartment has been shaped into an ambient mecca of authentic style, beginning with the nursery which became the polestar of the design language. Complimenting classically timeless architectural details is a collection of iconic pieces — a striking Kelly Wearstler coffee table, the meditative curves of a radial artwork by Ryan Hoffman — that tilt the home into a place of characterful oneness. A place shaped by deep client trust, Australian art and a dedication to realising a perfect sanctuary of quietude at the city’s heart.
